At Robot U, our instructors teach hands-on robotics, coding, and STEM classes, workshops, and camps for schools and youth organizations. Along the way, they gain real leadership, teaching, and professional experience—and yes, they get paid.
This role is ideal for students who want:

As a Robot U Instructor, You Can:
- Teach engaging robotics and STEM classes, workshops, and camps

How It Works
1. Interview & Fit
Not everyone is suited to teaching—and that’s okay. If you’re interested in STEM, responsible, and willing to interview, there’s a good chance you’re a great fit.
2. Create Your Instructor Profile
You’ll build a personal profile on our website showcasing your experience, interests, and teaching style. This becomes your evolving professional page, where you can add new skills and reviews over time.
3. Choose Your Availability
You decide when you want to teach. Accept sessions or camps that work for you—but once you commit, you’re responsible for seeing them through. Sessions typically range from 5 to 14 classes.
4. Learn and Grow
You don’t need to arrive as a perfect instructor. Many start as helpers and grow into lead instructors as they gain confidence and experience.
5. Connect with Schools & Organizations
Schools and youth organizations browse our platform and request instructors directly. Along the way, you’ll build professional relationships and valuable connections.
6. Get Paid
We handle bookings, communication, and payments.
Pay starts at $35 per one-hour class.

Introduction:
Picture this: classrooms buzzing with robotic creations, not because of spilled juice boxes, but because you, the STEM Program Support Lead, have ensured everything is in tip-top shape! This proposal outlines the vital role you’ll play in Robot U’s quest to unleash the power of STEM in elementary schools.
The Mission:
- Become the Robo-Resource Mastermind: Ensure all the robotic kits, computers, and other gadgets reach schools on time and organized. (Think less “mystery box,” more “organized fun box.”) After years of sorting materials we’ve made our sets so easy to reset that a child could do it… which we have them do!
- Charge Up the Learning: Make sure all computers and robots are juiced and ready for action. (No one wants a robot rebellion powered by AA batteries.)
- Be the Mentor’s Mentor: Partner with Robot U to connect the perfect high school Robo-Mentor with each elementary school class. The children look up to their mentors. The mentors will look up to you. Help them grow into the incredible instructors we know they will be.
You, the STEM Program Support Lead
- Logistics Maestro: You’ll be the mastermind behind ensuring all materials arrive at schools on time and in pristine condition. (Think packing pro meets Mary Poppins’ bottomless bag, but with way cooler contents.)
- Robot Charging Champion: You’ll wield the power of the charging cord, keeping all robots and computers fueled for maximum learning potential. (Think less Energizer Bunny, more like the Energizer Bunny’s cooler, tech-savvy cousin.)
- Matchmaker Extraordinaire: Partnering with Robot U, you’ll connect the right high school Robo-Mentor with each elementary school class.
- Communication Crusader: You’ll occasionally be the bridge between schools, Robo-Mentors, Robot U, and parents, ensuring everyone is on the same page and the learning adventure runs smoothly. (Think less walkie-talkie, more like a communication superhero with a headset and a can-do attitude.)
Robot U: Your Robo-Right Hand :
We’ll provide:
- Training and Support: We’ll equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to become the ultimate Robot Wrangler. We have a treasure trove of tricks to speed things along.
- Communication Channels: We’ll keep you connected with everyone involved in the program, ensuring smooth sailing.
- Materials: Missing part? broken piece? Malfunctioning computer? We’ve got you covered. We’ll have it to ASAP.
