• Minecraft: Build, explore, and create in the world of Minecraft, all while learning valuable STEM concepts.
• Scratch game creation: Bring your coding skills to life by creating your own interactive games with Scratch.
• Power Up Creations: Supercharge your LEGO builds with LEGO Power Functions. With an assortment of motors and a Bluetooth control module, you will create and control some amazingly cool mechanisms. 

The STEM afternoon program is the perfect way for campers to expand their horizons and explore even more exciting areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.

Here is a chance for your young robotic engineers to build working robots with their favorite toy, LEGOS!
Oh my my! It’s going to be fun.
Welcome to the world of LEGO Robotics. Tuesday evenings this fall students will be making LEGO MINDSTORM robots from either supplied plans or design their own with or without help from our wonderful instructors. Teams of 2 will work to develop the most effective robot warrior. Each week students will continually work to improve their warrior to win in the arena. There will be challenges of speed, maneuverability, brute force, and tool use. They will develop an understanding of the relationships between; speed, mass, and power; steering and a differential; stored force vs. direct; and much more as they strive to be the season’s champions!
Never a dull class.

Also this summer we will be holding multiple camps with Si View Community Center in North Bend. While this year the Y has decided to just do robotics, Si View has opted for a full-day STEM camp that offers a different STEM activity each day. Scratch game design, Sphero robotic balls, Minecraft, Power Functions remote-controlled contraptions, and an instructor’s choice.
